I am happy to share information about a series of parenting classes that Youth Contact and Washington County Health and Human Services will be offering beginning January 9, 2017. This series is called The Incredible Years, and it is for parents and children ages 3-8. The series will be offered in Spanish and classes will take place on Mondays and will run for fourteen weeks. Parents will learn how to strengthen their children’s social and emotional regulation skills, ways to manage and redirect misbehavior, strategies for setting clear routines, limits and expectations, how to strengthen the parent-child bond through play and much more! Registration for this series is now open, but note that spaces often fill quickly and are limited to 20 families. Once a program is full, we add interested parents to a waitlist and call them as spaces become available.
